Getting to know Boulder
After spending the night in my truck in a neighborhood near the Gregory Canyon trailhead, I took a creative route to the summit. I think that at one point I was near the top of the 1st Flatiron. I had a rather mystical experience after sniffing conifer bark. It was cool and cloudy, so I couldn't see anything from the top. I spent about an hour on the top trying to center myself within the Universe. On the way down I took the Greenman Trail and linked up with the Gregory Canyon Trail. The turning aspens were a nice touch.

with the dorm
Went up Green Mtn today with some guys from the dorm. Very nice views from the summit, good, fun trail.
In Boulder for the summer and trying to get to all the major spots. Cut out of work early, about 1pm on a Thursday, and bused up to the Chautauqua trail head. We took the Saddle Rock/Greenman route to the top. Nothing out of the ordinary with the summer weather, but definitely a decent climb for such a short trip from the trail head.

Snowstorm Summit
Went up via the Saddle Rock-Greenman trail route and got turned back due to ice. We Decided to give it another shot the next day during a moderate snowstorm and had much better traction. The snow made it challenging and a lot of fun. This was a terrific outing for us and a memorable summit experience!

quick little snowshoe hike
This was a nice little snowshoe hike up the West Ridge Trail. I don't know why I hadn't done it before. And the weather was finally much nicer than the past week+.

Flat Iron Triple Play
Started at the South Mesa Trailhead, hiked up the Shadow Canyon Trail and then summited South Boulder Peak, then backtracked and hiked up Bear Peak. From there headed down the West Ridge trail and hiked up Green Mountain. Finished the hike by hiking down to Chautauqua Meadows. About 9 miles with snow on the ground. Nice hike to burn off the two Thanksgiving dinners I had over the holiday.

Nice training hike
Started using this hike for training purposes. I see several people up there repeatedly apparently do the same thing.
All in all, a pretty good quick trip with a nice view.

Saddle Rock Trail
Hiked and followed-up with Bear Peak from Chautaqua Park via Saddle Rock Trail.
Returned with my wife 8/30. Did a loop from Chautauqua Park: up Saddle Rock, down Ranger. The Ranger trail is way mellower.
Just moved to Boulder and wanted to start getting acclimated. Did a loop hike starting up Gregory Canyon. Challenging for this lowlander, but worth it for the nice views. The descent on Saddle Rock trail is a bit rocky - maybe better for the ascent?
