Hello Jefferson!
I hiked up while backpacking at Pamelia Lake. It was well worth the effort for the beautiful view of Mount Jefferson!

Lots of snow still
Went in with warnings of snow from the Ranger - I wasn't disappointed. The first (and probably biggest) obstacle was the pamelia creek crossing just after you leave the junction with the lake. I am 6'1" and the water was up to my upper thighs for a good portion and a good 30 feet across. I hit snow one switchback past the second time you pass the creek on the switchbacks. The snow was good and consolidated so you could walk on top. There is 6-8 feet of snow in many places. There were no previous/noticeable boot tracks so I follow the cut line through the trees, which wasn't too bad until you get up higher (maybe a mile from the top). The trees thin a little so I lost the trail and just kept heading up. Climbed up along the ridge which was a little steeper on the snow but continuous great views of Mt Jeffy on a bluebird day. 2.5 hours up. and 1.75 hours down. Took my dog too - no issues.

North / South Ridge...
Went up the standard route to the summit, then scrambled the southeast ridge to the trail junction back down to Pamelia Lake. The Southeast Ridge has some great open grassy meadows. Lots of sign of elk. Nice fall day in the Jeffersom Wilderness.

Foggy/snowy day
Did solo a long time ago. Beautiful path to Pamelia Lake which is awesome. Lots of beargrass and rhodies and snow patches above 5000 feet. Snowed on me on the summit, no real views. 2 hrs 15 minutes up.
