"Got tight last night on absinthe and did knife tricks. Great success shooting the knife into the piano. The woodworms are so bad and eat hell out of all furniture that you can always claim the woodworms did it."

North SlopeClimbed up the loose dirt on the north slope to west of the saddle. Very cool terrain from the saddle to the summit.

The Long WayDue to the amount of snow, I had to start lower down the road and made a nice trek over the peaklet north of Grouse. Straight up north slope, post-hole shin deep. Really dug the Class 3 in snow and boots. That's why I wear LaSportiva! Beautiful huge plumes coming off the Sierra. Love my backyard ~

Whew!Worried about my rental car, I parked off Buttermilk Road after just four miles, and took a more or less direct path across the desert from there. This route had a lot of ups and downs in soft sand and wore me out! Anyway, I climbed it, and just because I liked the name!
