The trail actually wraps around the east side of the mountain then cruises up one of the gullies to the ridge requiring zero bushwacking. I'll try to get a chance to post an updated route map for you. There is a beefy, well-built trail to follow the entire way. No bushwacking or scrambling required (unless snow blocks the standard trail in a few places).

Lots of TrailSuprisingly there is a very good climbers trail across most of this route, particularly along the ridge from PT 12743 to the summit.
