Nicely done and concise. Good pics and links. The route is geared for novices and beginners. The Park gets lots of those, so your page's role on SP could be important for beginning weekend warrior hikers and vacationers.
Good page Smudge. I have a feeling this page will collect many photos in the future. Hallet is on my list this season. I was unaware up the descent route you mention (Flattop Crags) but it looks like it could be a fun ascent route as well.
thanks. There is supossedly an ascent route up the northern slope of Hallett. Somewhere just before the Pool of Jade. I spent quite a bit of time that day looking for it, but was never quite sure. Im hoping this page will attract someone who knows of it. we'll see.
BTW: the longitude is wrong. Try entering a negative sign before the longitude so that it will read ""105.41 W." I made the same mistake on the first mountain page I submitted. This will also correct the Topozone Map.
Good page, Great Peak. You may want to include that the Bear Lake Road will be closed for the summer starting in June for repairs. See my Petit Grepon page for the details. I will update them as the information is released.
