Looped SE, NE ridges  Sucess!

Great hike. Went up SE ridge, then down NE ridge into drainage and returned past old mine. The NE ridge has great views coming down. Only downside is once you get into drainage vegetation is thick and the going is a little tedious til you get back on the old mine track.

New driving directions!  Sucess!

We took Indian Springs Rd from the town of Salome then onto the power line road to eventually connect with the road as describes by Surgent here. We went up the SE ridge which was pretty straight forward. We tagged all possible highpoints but felt that the point with the benchmark was the highest which was supported by GPS readings of 2 devices. A classic desert peak with great views.

Nice hike  Sucess!

Did this with Rick Hartman and Dennis Poulin. We went up past the mine and continued to the ridge before turning steeply uphill on the SE ridge. We hit all four high spots to make certain we hit the highest but ended up at the summit that had the register and benchmarks, which is probably the second highest spot on Harcuvar.

SE Ridge

Hiked up the old road a short ways then found a nice ridge to bust up. Wandered across the top on all four points. Came down the NE ridge and into the drainage to see the old copper mine - would recommend against that route as it's pretty steep and the vegetation is thick.

SE Ridge  Sucess!

Went up the SE Ridge and back down the East ridge to the mine. Got a flat tire on the drive in.

Nice winter peak  Sucess!

A day after some heavy rain, Scott C. and I climbed this peak via the old mine road and the SE ridge. No routefinding problems, up and down in 5 hours. The most challenging part of the whole day were the muddy and sandy approach roads.

Midnight ride  Sucess!

Slept in the car, and rudely awaken when emergency
brake kicked loose. Traipsed over all 4 areas on top
to be sure of tagging the HP.
