Columbia and on to Harvard  Sucess!

Long day. Recommendation: Do Columbia first. Scree on Columbia is brutal. Did this route with Colette and Greg. Thanks for a great day.

tried to stay on the ridge   Sucess!

Ascended Harvard first, then traversed to Columbia. Going down Columbia was quite a pain in the butt with endless scree and talus.

Low Road  Sucess!

Solo traverse of Frenchman Creek starting with PT 13374 then Harvard and finishing on Columbia. Took the low road on the traverse to avoid the rabbits, tedious boulder hopping especially with the snow on the boulders, but otherwise a nice fall day!

The ridge  Sucess!

In good weather Harvard is an easy hike up on a good trail. The ridge over to Columbia is solid and fun. Columbia itself remains a slog over scree and talus.

The Traverse  Sucess!

A very long day! Got caught on the traverse by some storms which didn't help, but we got both peaks!

North Cottonwood TH, Ascend Harvard S Slopes to Columbia N Slopes, Descend Columbia W Slopes  Sucess!

This double is a long hard hike, especially doing Harvard first. The descent from Columbia is a down climb on braided trails of skree. If I ever do this again it will be an ascent of Columbia and a descent on the "stairs" from Harvard. Someone has done some "serious" work on the Harvard trail. It's great!
