Normal route from Vallon de Van
Normal route from the Campsite in Vallon de Van in a day. Nice hike with very strong winds high up and some fresh snow.

Oy
Went with a large (8) group of varying degrees of experience. 3 successful, the rest were not. This is a kind of an awful climb, if it could even be considered that. Loose scree, barren, and taxing to do in one day, but way too brief to warrant doing in two except for the whole ambience of doing that. But it is true that the summit view is pretty unparalleled for such an experience. Do not try this if you are a novice without someone more experienced. The scree is steep and loose.
Route Climbed: Normal over Susanfe and Col des Paresseux Date Climbed: august 2001
My second ascent of the Haute Cime, and the first time with my children Carole (19) and Matthias (13) in one day from Grand Paradis. Hot weather without any cloud or wind. Superb clear sight.
Wonderful weather for being in October. The top is close to Lac Leman (Geneva lake) but there was a sea of clouds so we couldn't see the lake but as we were over the clouds we had a wonderful view over the Alpes. We (me, Thomas and Anders) started walking 8 in the morning and we were back to the car around 7-ish in the evening. Tough walk but worth it!
