You're right, there is not enough time for all of the worthy peaks... The easiest route is the south slope, which is mostly a sand slog. The better route is the SE Ridge, easy class 3 and very direct.
Great page with a dizzingly complex "Getting There" section. Glad I don't have to learn all that by heart at the moment ;-) But I suppose this way you won't miss the trailhead(s).
Great page for a good-looking peak. (Nice dayhike, too!) I find it difficult to believe that an approach from Buckeye Canyon could really be less desirable than one from Leavitt Meadows. The "hot, dry, boring, and dusty" description sounds a whole lot like the trail along the West Walker. Guess I'll have to go and find out for myself one of these days...
Well, as I mentioned on the page, I haven't tried the Leavitt Meadows trail, but the Buckeye Canyon Trail is miserable, and I don't plan on going back in there any time soon. The rest of the daytrip was fun.

Untitled CommentI was checking out this fine peak on my way to Tower Peak last year. There simply aren't enough hours in a day to hit them all...
What's the easiest way up the peak?
