On the way in, made the mistake of following Google Maps up the Catt Creek side to the trailhead. Make sure you drive to the trailhead from the Berry Creek side.

Great view from Hood, St. Helens, and Adams, up to Rainier.

Family Hike
Did this one with my wife and 3 year old daughter who hiked about 75% of this one. The rocky cliffy area at the summit block were too much for my wife, but I carried my daughter on my shoulders up to the summit for quick view. Not a bad little hike.

Great hike
Great easy day hike with the family. Didn't encounter any trouble on the road/trail. Views of Adams/Hood/Rainier/St Helens from the top were incredible. There were some patches of snow on the trail, but nothing too terrible.

High Rock in the Snow
Made it to the trailhead with chains on my Honda. High Rock was very pretty in the snow but there was no view beyond due to the clouds and falling snow.

Highest and prettiest summit to date
Went up with five of my friends including EastKing and CascadeCohen to this summit and lookout. Beautiful mountain.
Hiked up with my kids. The trail was relatively short and steep. There were few hikers that day, and we had the lookout cabin to ourselves for quite a while. The views were outstanding! I understand now why this is a classic. I WILL do it again!

Long drive for a short hike
Well worth the trip. Amazing views, even with adams and everything else to the south immersed in smoke.

Another Dog Friendly Trail
Any and all trails, maintained or no, that I can bring my buddy on, is gonna get good marks! I figure if he is gonna carry his own pack, and be kind on the trail to other hikers, we are gonna do as many hikes as we can! Please send me other ideas if you would be so kind.. Always looking for alternative outings.. Thanks!

A Great End To A Very Long Day!
I had a BBQ to attend the previous day, which made my plans for a two-day trip to the Skamania CoHP and High Rock harder to accomplish... so I turned it into a long single-day excursion. Who needs sleep? Apparently, not me... zzzzzz... I immediately left the BBQ, drove down 5+ hours for the Skamania CoHP, and then a while later did that... it took 9-1/2 hours roundtrip using the Stagman Ridge approach. Then I immediately drove far north, and then east, to the High Rock trailhead and summited that mountain shortly thereafter. I was glad to get the Skamania CoHP and the Lewis CoGPP out of the way in one trip. Great views of Mount Rainier from High Rock!!! Highly recommended!!!

Best View of Rainier EVER
Robbin and I were tired after climbing two volcanoes the previous day so we decided to go for something a little easier. This one has a big reward with only a little work. We spent over an hour on the summit.

Lots of snow
Parked about 1.5 miles below the trailhead due to snow but hiking up the road went quick. Second half of the hike had 3+ ft of snow. Incredible views!
