Hiking the Pfelderer Höhenweg, with the Hohe Weiße in the background

The morning part of our program is about done. We've hiked along the Pfelderer Höhenweg from the Zwickauer Hütte to the Stettiner Hütte. For the afternoon, our goal is the Hohe Weiße, partly blocked from view here by the Grafspitze just on front. The route goes almost over the Grafspitze, coming from the right, then (not visible here) descends a bit to a small saddle before the final summit push. The coordinates are those fo the Hohe Weiße. 9 July 2009.
