Are you......leaving your pack behind and heading for the summit?
Nice photo!

Re: Are you...That pack belongs to a different climber. We actually turned around here on this day. It was close to 3 in the afternoon and this was a day trip.

Nice scenary, but...in my opinion the photo requires a sharpening. I suppose you haven't applied any contrast mask or whichever trick after resizing. Try and see the difference!

Re: Nice scenary, but...Yeah, putting the pages and photos on the internet was enough extracurricular computer work from home. I'm not really a photographer, or much of a computer geek, more of a plant/soils geek.

Route choiceDid you guys go up the north fork of Papoose and then cut up to the ridgeline? I'm hoping to get up to point 10,570 in a weekend or two (more south and east of pt 11,062) and kind of scope out the area, should be able to see Hilgard from there. Based on the quads it looks like a burly day-trip (~16 miles) on skis... Any feedback would be truly appreciated. Great photo by the way...

ThanksThanks for the excellent post! It's almost stand alone - the only other helpful thing to add is a description of the actual peak route and the difficulty rating. Maybe some talk of the most difficult sections would be helpful. I will continue my search after this tease ;) thanks for sharing!
