Himmelsleiter
The famous Himmelsleiter (Heavens Ladder) is the last challenge for many tourists who ascend on Saentis by the normal (Tierwis) route. The ridge is steep and from the distance the slabby wall looks difficult. But the passage is completely easy. You overcome some 40 meters by carved or metal steps and you have a metal cable on each side. Photo: Jasmina Pogačnik, August 7th, 2014.
