like you I am a big fan of the Berchtesgaden area and the great and wonderful mountains there, like Goell, Watzmann (unfortunately not climbed yet) and Hochkalter. No better view in the world than standing somewhere in the Goellstock and looking onto Dachstein, Steinernes Meer, Koenigsee, Watzmann and Hochkalter! :-)
yes you are right, therefore I lowered my vote. Apparently Pini has left SP several years ago. He never answered to my comments or corrections.
Göll means very much to me, I grew up there and climbed it many times from all sides you could think of.
I was thinking already of creating a Goell Group and transferring my photos to it.
Well, from years ago I have a similar experience with Triglav. But at that time, we were able to lower votes to such extent that the mountain fell under adoption. Velebit took it over and from then on it's great. In the case of Hoher Goell I don't think that's possible. I don't know what's the current SP rule for a page to become 'abandoned'.
It's a nice page over a wonderful mountain with a multitude of faces. We enjoy it much - and it's nice for us, that's our "Hausberg" - living at Obersalzberg.
The page gives a lot of good informations. A signature photo would be nice.
I would like to make this my first summit in the area. I have never climbed here before or with a harness etc. I have done scrambles in Scotland where there are no wires/ladders and some in Switzerland - but never with harness and loops. Is the ascent from the Kehlsteinhaus to the summit possible without harness or do you have to have a harness and be connected to the wire. Thanks in advance to any replies, Mark
