We left my cousin's place in Columbus and were heading out to Denver and South Dakota for a vacation and to see America. This was our second High Point of the trip out of five. Next stop, St. Louis for BBQ and to see the Arch.

Larvitour Stop #16
This place had the shortest approach of any high point I've done--I practically hopped out of my car and onto the summit. It was cloudy when I was there, but I bet it's beautiful on a clear day. Nice job, Indiana, and thanks to the owners for allowing access!

The only thing on the way chicago
One of my first purposeful highpoints. Got my wife to stop with me on the way to chicago...roller coaster road was pretty cool on the way there if you go fast enough. ...and of course the epic highpoint

I'll Always Forget You
Family finally came along: "Dad, highpointing is dumb, drive all this way for this." Ha. Gotta teach 'em the drive is half the fun.
Ha, I'm logging my highpoints on summitpost and couldn't forget hoosier hill... looks like you beat me to it...logging that is. Your kid sounds like a real a-hole :)

High Point #22
Summitted with Kate, second of a 6 HP trip. The corn looked pretty poor compared to the fields back home. Nice high point!

Good thing the rock is there.
If it weren't for the rock sticking up out of the ground it would be hard to discern that any one point in the area was any high than another. Drove from here to Missouri to do Taum Sauk.

Not really an HP'er... but I was in Columbus on business and couldn't resist.

Country roads Indiana, State HP #43
We drove over to Hoosier Hill from Ohio, where we had "summited" Campbell Hill earlier in the day. The directions from Summitpost were spot on, and we parked just outside the forested area from summit monument and mailbox. Very quiet and peaceful there. A family joined us as we took our pics from our last state HP from a 9 state swing. Sad to end our trip, but happy to be one state HP closer! State HP #43....
Spring has sprung in Indiana - nice bed of ground cover flowers just beginning to bloom at the marker and mailbox.

Unfortunately I did this one on a VERY snowy day. Slipped off the road and had to wait for a tow truck for 3 hours. Luckily I was listening to a soccer game at the time so I was entertained.
