3rd timeI always feel lucky when I see one. First one was on the PCT going west to climb Wright Mtn., the other was up the south firebreak on Lawlor. So two for the backside of the eastern SGs. This one was the smallest yet, slightly bigger then a quarter. Thanks for the vote.

When I was a kid(don't laugh), we used to go out into an area near our home in the San Fernando Valley (a wash) and capture horny toads. They were so cool but our mom always made us take em back.

only seen one, about 15 years ago...just off the dirt road access to Cottonwood Creek Falls, near Pine Valley CA. The one you captured above looks like he'd make a good boss in a video game!

awesomethose are rare ... whats insane is that they tear or squirt blood from their eyes when threatened (dont worry, i dont know from experience, just books, lol )
