Horseshoe Basin

Milky-white streams like these rush through Horseshoe Basin in Peru Creek and its tributaries. The water looks glacial, but the color is really from calcium deposits higher in the mountains. The rocks look and feel chalky. Front Range, CO-- September 2, 2007
