Lots of fun ...
... possibilities up there. Went for south tooth, and found some spots trickier than they looked, others easier than they looked. A good afternoon of messing around on rock. Warm day. I immagine this pleasant hike is a nasty sweat-scuker on a 95-degree day.
My cousin lives in Fort Collins. Went with a friend and took our bikes, great trails! It was rainy so I did not get the views :(

Many times from 1991-1998
Hiked, camped, ran and mountain biked pretty much every trail in Horsetooth Mountain Park and climbed all three parts of Horsetooth Rock. The middle portion was the best! Climbed Horsetooth Falls as well. An absolutely wonderful area.

Climbed many times
Have climbed many times since moving to Fort Collins. It is a nice place and the falls are cool to sit under after a good summer hike.

Middle Tooth
Chimney climb to the summit of the Middle Tooth. I have been back and climbed the other summits since then.

Middle Tooth
Climbed via the 4th class chimney on the east side of the middle tooth. Total ascents = 4.
Climbed it many times, I like it best in winter when the crowds are down. Try returning via the Wathen Trail for a good loop hike.

The Tooth
1st climbed in '82. Many times since, both south side and north. South side a bit more challanging. Best time is Sep thru May.

Climbed Twice
1/2/2006: Soderberg Trail to Horsetooth Rock Trail, 46 min up, 80 min roundtrip
7/15/2010: Swan Johnson Trail to Towers Trail to Herrington Trail to Spring Creek Trail to Wathen Trail to Horsetooth Rock Trail, 3 h roundtrip
Route Climbed: Soderberg Tr. to S. Summit Date Climbed: November 13, 2005
A nice walk and scramble to the summit. Both Longs and Pikes were visible, although there was much cloud cover over both. I only saw 4 people on the way up, but many on the way down. A good morning hike before football starts!
Hiked this easy one with friends- it was HOT! Yep, after being used to snow hikes, this was odd, but enjoyable with friends. Watch out for the rattlers!
Route Climbed: Assorted Date Climbed: Lots of times, 1978-2002
A great place for a hike, especially spring and fall. Lots of wildlife, great birding, flowers. There are even some rocks to clamber around! One of the best little mountains around.
My favorite: hike down to Horsetooth Falls, then over to the Wathen Trail, and up to the rock. This is longer, less crowded, and provides better views of the Horsetooth than the standard trail. Descend the standard route for the perfect half-day hike.
My wife, dog, and I hiked to the summit in very unusual weather. There was thick fog/clouds swirling around the summit and visibility was not much more than 10 meters. It was very surreal and not a little freaky to not be able to see the surrounding terrain. It was like we were floating in the sky.
