Great story and video. I can relate to most everything you experienced. Standing on a difficult to reach summit is immeasurable in terms of the reward, nothing else even comes close! Skol!
I am impressed with you climbing Lone Peak being from Wisconsin and never having done anything like it. What an adventure! Lone Peak was my first real mountain too, so I can relate, and you bring back memories and sentiments.
You can add my name to the long list of people who's butt has been kicked by Lone Peak. I probably would have just went home after the first night (although it's about 15 min. drive for me). I haven't been to the top yet, but LP is on my short list of unfinished business. Thanks for sharing your experiences!
I give you props for making it to the top regarless of the problems you had. I too often find myself giving up too quickly when I hit a snag and start saying "another day I suppose". Maybe it is because I live so close, I can just go another day.
I love Lone Peak. Of everything I've done, I'm sure it's still my favorite. Hard to regret climbing it.

Enjoyable TRSuggestions: insert images within the text and possibly use a few subtitles so as to break up the text. But very good narrative.
