Snowshoe
Wow this is a pretty place. Also a very busy one. Did an overnight camping trip at Artist Point and tagged this one since it was nearby. Honestly probably could have done this without snowshoes since the trail was so packed down.

Low Snow Year
This year the snow fall has been crazy low. We hiked from the lodge, but the road to Artist Point was completely clear (although still closed). Fun little scramble to the top. Good glissade down too.
Climbed and skied many, many times. Can't beat the view! Don't miss the "hidden" lake to the East. You can soak your bones with Shuksan over your right shoulder and the mighty Komo Kulshan over your left shoulder.

You might as well bag this little point if you're already at Artist Point. It can be done in 20 minutes round trip, and that's if you stop for pictures. Second summit as a part of a threesome on this day.

Harder than it looks...
...when there is 28 feet of snow on Artist Point, nearest parking is at Heather Meadows, and its your first time on snowshoes. 2011 had so much snow, they made a decision not to clear up to Artist point.

I now know a great place to take my parents to. Great views with little effort.
