I got off trail due to snow...

I got off trail due to snow and ended up too high in this talus mess. Oh the ankle-turning joy! The trail is a bit lower and diagonals up to the backside of the hump on the ridge in this photo. If you find yourself offtrail early in the season just head up to this ridge and catch the Nelson Ridge Trail south along the ridge to where it meets up with Mount Aix Trail #982 (wooden post and sign there).
