In case anyone was wondering where we were on Saturday February 12, 2005. Three jet contrails helped Hilsyde Angler (ahead of me) and I fix our position on the side of Round Top.

much better weather

than we had in the south sierra foothills (fog, drizzle, rain, mostly cloudy skies). How were things on the mountain ?

There was about six inches of fresh powder. We broke trail for a little bit near Winnemucca Lake until some skiers passed us. It was pretty windy higher up, althouh not as much as the November trip. Clouds rolled in from the south as the afternoon progressed. Jud (hilsyde angler) and I didn't head for the summit, but Kevin Cannon did.
