In the early morning light,...

In the early morning light, this was our first view of the peak. Dan Baxter has loppers on his backpack and we needed those. Chris Doig also brought loppers but his got broken from brushy abuse later on.

It is true, loppers aren't the normal gear you'd take up most peaks. I was impressed too by the fact that both Dan and Chris brought them. A machete might have been nice as well.

I recomend 2 loppers 1 machette 1 chainsaw and a few dozen native poters to clear the way for you. LOL no seriously!

Loppers are what pruning tools are referred to around the area I live. There are many orchards in the area and the people who work there always refer to the big pruning shears as loppers. You are definitely a loser without your loppers in that Davis Creek drainage. Check out this website for purchasing your loppers. Loppers are used to lop off limbs, branches, fingers and frozen snickers bars.
