"After the first glass, you see things as you wish they were. After the second, you see things as they are not. Finally, you see things as they really are, which is the most horrible thing in the world."

DayhikeCompleted a thru hike from the meadows up to Incline Peak and then followed the TRT to bag Peak 9773, Rose Knob Peak, Rose Knob, Peak 9499 & Rifle Peak. The trail was crowded with dayhikers, runners & TRT thru-hikers. Ran into a man training for the Sierra Challenge coming down Peak 9773 and a had a decent chat. Peak 9499, although only a rock outcropping deserves a name. Rifle Peak on the other hand is merely a bump and is lame, I always assumed 9499 was Rifle from the lake, prepare to be disappointed.

Smoke and haze over Lake TahoeFinally, after many years, I decided to hike Incline Peak. Of course, Lake Tahoe was covered in smoke, so no good photos of the lake today.
