Nice one, Andreas!Begriff nicht, dass Sie indischen Sommer in Deutschland hatten. Or, Hat nicht erkannt, dass Sie Altweibersommer in Deutschland gehabt haben.
Two radically different translations, of the same phrase-Didn't realize you had Indian Summer in Germany. Which is more correct?

Indian Summerhttp://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_Summer.
The name "Indian summer" was only a description of the fantastic colours of the autumn leaves. However, the wheather was also very good and warm. You have right that it was not "summer" like a season. But wikipedia tells us that the early autumn is also correct.
