Argonaut Scouting Trip
With the roads closed, we went out for a scouting trip since a full summit attempt on Argonaut wasn't in the cards for the amount of time we had. Found lots and lots of snow, a surprising amount of groomed/well-compacted (by snow-mobiles) roads, and didn't really get much of a look at our objective.
In the process, we were a few hundred meters from the peak of Iron, but had some time/food/water pressure and kept on going. After that was a delightful creek-following bushwack session. Note to self: don't just bull across a steep slope to avoid walking uphill a dozen meters. You might end up in a hole and need to setup a handline to get out.

Hot
With Lunadog, who was not happy as it was 90+ degrees. She did thoroughly enjoy the remaining snowpatch on the summit ridge which she rolled in for about 10 minutes. And ate half of. Great views of the Stuart Range, Ingalls and the rest of the Teanaway. Was one hot drive back to Portland afterwards though.

Bagged this summit as summit number 8/10 in a contest put on by Sahaptin Outfitters out of Cle Elum. Ascended via the Beverly Turnpike trail. There are two very different routes to the summit of Iron; they each really deserve a route page, or at least a more detailed description. Bagged Teanaway afterwards. Both summits were heavily bug infested and didn't seem to care that I had a metric ton of bug spray on. Weird.

Climbing Iron peak is a rite of spring for me. More than 20 summits in the past 22 years. Also the summit is a great place to camp in winter or spring. Fantastic sunsets and sunrises from 6510'.

Naughty by Nature
Did this as a naturalist hike with the Mountaineers.
Bryan, Dane, and I scrambled up Teanaway Peak and then finished off the day with Iron Peak. It seems that Teanaway Peak must have one of the closest and best views of Stuart and the Enchantments.
