Daughter's HP #1
Trying to get my 4yo daughter into hiking. We did a fun one in north central Mass. last year, figured I'd notch a quick HP that could be her first - the brief walk to Jerimoth Hill. Quick and easy, nice ride thru R.I. and Conn. back up to Worcester, MA.

Walk in the Woods
Bob, Broc, Domino and I had a hard time finding just exactly what rock was the highest. But we finally located the mailbox!

3rd highpoint
This was the closest highpoint to my house so I figured it was a good start on my journey to 50! For posterity it was actually my third highpoint, I did two others before I decided that I wanted to climb all 50 states!!

Just a Quick Stop
My wife and I stopped here on our way from a wedding in Newport RI to visit family in Simsbury CT. We spent more time talking to another couple on the trail than we actually did hiking. HP33

10th 'Summit'
Stopped by on way to NH (a visit to Mt Washington...)... Still haven't decided which summit was more difficult. ;-)
My first highpoint back in 2007. This is about a mile from my parents where i grew up so a suitable way to start.

Tough Hike
This isn't a Class 5 climb. Nice day with fall colors in the trees.

HP #13
Easy to find. The short trail is very well marked by the high pointers club. They have done a really nice job on this high point.

HP #12
Right up there with Mississippi as being one of the non-celebrated highppints. Just a concrete stump on a gentle rise on the earth

roadside rest
We ascended the treacherous north face of the massif, without the aid of artificial oxygen. Picked off #16 on a sunny, warm day on the way back from a college graduation weekend in Boston. Scenic area!

HP #5
Nice road trip while resting up for the Boston marathon.
Drove 3 hours to stand on it for like 2 mins. It gave me a reason totravel to RI

This was my 17th high point, not very fun and no views, but its another one off the list!

3rd time
My third time here. The first time, in 1995, I was chased off by the maniac who used to live there. The second time, in 1998, we made a stealth raid on the "summit" which was obscured by piles of tree limbs and brush. This time, my whole familiy had a nice stroll to the open summit and were only harrassed by swarms of flies.
The trees were pretty, but I can't get over the fact that this hill is barely in the state. I've only been to one place in Rhode Island, and THIS was it. Hmmm.

HP #9
Very easy, though I find it odd that the USGS made a mistake when placing that first marker midway down the trail. Highpoint #9!

Number 8My eighth state highpoint. Not much of a hike but one step closer. The sandy parking lot mentioned is lined by large boulders, hope this helps.
