Jim Hill From Arrowhead

Jim Hill From Arrowhead

Jim Hill Mountain, as seen from Arrowhead Mountain. (Technically, you can only see the false summit hill of Jim Hill Mountain, from this vantage point. The true summit is hidden, behind it.) As both peaks are a part of the same ridgeline, in theory a traverse could be made between the two peaks. However, such a route should never be attempted on this ridgeline during periods of snowpack due to high avalanche potential and cornices. Such a route is even very difficult during periods of no snowpack due to steep, rocky terrain full of ups, downs, loose rocks, and Class 3-4 hills. Photo taken on January 11, 2012.
