Via Faye Canyon
Starting on the Faye-Luther trail system, the dog and I followed the trail up Faye Canyon. Trail gradually fades after a few miles to bits of tread and cairns as it heads up Jobs S Slope. At around 8500 feet, the slope becomes unconsolidated sand and is very tedious. A lot of people were enjoying the cool and windy summit. Headed down Jobs E Slope to the long class 3 ridge that reaches a high point, then descended the E Gully route back to the Faye-Luther trail system. Unknown mileage, but 6,000 feet of gain.

Spring Fever
Fun day out. Started from Carson Valley floor, went up drainage and bagged Jobs looking to descend Jaws coulior. Pretty icy all around (high in the 30's) so decided to instead bag Jobs Sister and Freel as well. Snow had corned up by the time I had finished the traverse so it was an exciting ski back down to 6,500.

Winter Trip
A nice and cool but very windy January day. Solid snowcover except for some of the ridges from 89, up Willow Creek, and to the summit. Reached Freel first, then over to Jobs Sister and Jobs Peak.

Triple Play
Bagged Jobs, Jobs Sister and Freel peak in a single loop starting from the Jobs Peak trail head. A recent snow made for a beautiful hike. No register at the summit of Jobs so if anyone is inclined, this peak could use one.

Job's Peak from Freel
Hiked over from Freel after coming up via Armstrong Pass. Nice views of the Carson Valley, though some haze. Then backtracked to Freel and down. Was tempted to try Job's Sister, but it had begun to drizzle and time was getting short. Next time!

Horse Meadows
Didn't realize the trail from Horse Meadow existed until I stumbled across it. Continued on to Freel and Jobs Sister, returned via a sand ski down the back side of Freel.

Day hike from Minden
Dervin and I dayhiked this from the Carson Valley. We were originally intending to climb Laurel Mountain but the Sierras had a high wind warning this weekend so we stayed local and did Banner instead. We climbed the 5700ft of vertical in 3hr 50 min. The wind was atrocious for the last couple of thousand feet of vertical. We were guessing the wind was gusting around 60 to 75mph on the summit slopes. Great views from the top and a nice way to spend half a day.

Last snow free weekend of 2007
Day hiked the Tahoe Triple Crown from the south. It was very windy and cold, but we missed the first winter storm by a week.

Freel, Job's & Job's sis.
Fun day hike. A little hazy but nice views. There looks to be some great bouldering up there if you don't mind the approach.

Did I start at THT...?
What started as a trip up Freel turned into a trip up Job's due to my Jedi orienteering. Great climb, regardless. I just wish I knew exactly where I was...

Dayhike loop
Perfect way to spend a Friday the 13th. Completed an ~8 mile loop from the end of Road 051 to Jobs Peak then traversed to Jobs Sister Peak and then back to the car. 1-2 feet of snow above 9000' with some postholing, but the views and fall colors were phenomenal
