Jocelyn Hill BCCS Monument Remnant
The remains of GCM 427757. The 1963 BC Control Survey point on the summit of Jocelyn Hill was marked by a 3" brass screw set in a plug of wood and the whole set in a mound of cement. The wooden plug has long since rotted away and the screw has disppeared, but the cavity in the cement setting could still be seen quite clearly for those with a sharp eye.
In the spring of 2011 a litle colony of Blue Eyed Mary, collinsia parviflora, decided to make a home in the cavity where the plug used to be. The old survey point is now, once more, easy to spot.
