Brother Joe
Bagged this guy spontaneously on a trek from Bear Lake to Fern Lake Trailhead. Beautiful fall day in the park with elk everywhere. We were even told that we missed seeing two bears near Fern Lake.
This peak is a good scramble and there are many routes you can take. My wife wasn't up to going all the way to the top so she waited for me just above the trail. I spent a lot of time back tracking after finding impassable ledges or brush. Luckily, I spotted a cairn below the summit block and followed a small hollow up the southeast side. Amazing views!

From Bear Lake
Thru the Sourdough campsite and up the south slope. Steep 500' climb from the trail. Great views of Odessa Gorge and the surrounding peaks.

From Beak Lake TH
Amazing views made this a worthwhile endeavor. Peakbug and I climbed this before heading over Wuh. There was a fair amount of bush wacking involved, but it wasn't terrible.

Joe Mills #39
Lots of bush whacking, but the view was worth it for sure. Also did Mount Wuh with rkymtn.

Bushwhack Party Time Sucess!
Decided to combine Mount Wuh from Joe Mills Mtn. Turns out this is a brushy mess! I am pretty experienced in horrible off-trail adventures but this is close to the worst I've done.
The route up Joe Mills is very fun and has great views!

From Bear Lake
Headed up Joe Mills from Bear Lake. Wanted to head over to Wuh as well, but like an idiot I left my snowshoes at home and really didn't like the sound of wading through all that snow without them. The west ridge was a nice wintery climb though.

Snowing & blowing
Combined with Mount Wuh from Bear Lake during a snow storm. Absolutely no views from summit :(

Mills and Wuh
Holy slog! The fresh untracked snow and brush made me work for this one! I couldn't wait to get to the top for the view of Odessa gorge, but the weather took care of that...I'll be back just for that view!

Good March snow
A good dump of snow four days prior made for a nice XC ski to near the top, then postholing in boots the rest of the way. View excellent, making up for the typical cold-weather RMNP straightwinds. Ski down was tricky, but only briefly near the top. The rest was Nordic powder heaven and the trail down was corn.

Wuh - Joe Mills
Snowshoed the pair from the Bear Lake Trailhead. The view from the summit of Joe Mills is among the best I've seen in The Park.
