Wow!A bold shot of K2. I've read many famous accounts of the human history on the mountain. The beautiful alpenglow cloud coming off the top is an eerie reminder for me of what a dangerous and powerful peak this is.

Re: Wow!Thanks for your nice comments on K2 photo. K-2, only 773 feet lower than Everest, is considered the most challenging and beautiful of all mountains. First conquered by an Italian expedition on 31 July 1954, its perils are many, avalanches, landslides, frequent and unpredictable storm, and savage winds. It has claimed many lives. Its neighbours are equally beautiful and almost as challenging. Broad Peak, was climbed in 1955, Gasherbrum-I in 1958 and Masherbrum in 1960.

ZoomYou must have had a strong zoom lense. What equipment did you use? Is the photo taken this season? I heard there are difficult crevasses en route over Gondogoro now.
Great image.

Re: ZoomThanks for your comments and vote. The photo taken during August 2004. The photo taken by a simple camera. The Gondogoro la was closed due to opening a large crevasse on the top of the pass. Only a few trekkers and climbers had crossed the Gondogoro la during summer 2007. However, the pass was reamained opened during the year 2008 and 2009. I have taken many photos of Gondogoro la which you can see in my "High Pass of Gondogoro La" Album.
