Honeymoon hike
Climbed Mt Karakunidake followed by a circular walk around Lake Onami. Start and finish at Ebino Kogen.
NB. The traverse from the summit of Mt Karakunidake onwards to Mt Shinmoedake is currently CLOSED due to continuing volcanic activity after an eruption in 2011. There is a 2km exclusion zone around the crater.
