Khumbu Icefall standing over a crevasse

Ladders are placed in the Khumbu Icefall to make crossing crevasses possible. Some are single ladders spanning a couple meters while others are multiple ladders tied together to bridge large crevasses. This is a double ladder. I'm standing in the middle where the two ladders are lashed together looking down into the crevasse this ladder was spanning.
