Knife Edge from Dudley
Finally! Made it back to Maine to do the Knife Edge. Had just done the Presidential Traverse in New Hampshire and then drove to Katahdin with Flanders on our annual hiking trip. Hiked in to Chimney Pond the day before, camped in one of the lean-tos (very nice). Clouds hung around, danced on top of, and obscured the top few hundered feet until we were half way up the Dudley Trail which is fun itself. Got to Pamola Peak and then did the notch downclimb and climb. Then enjoyed sunny skies as we picked our way along the Knife Edge. Super fun. hung out a while at the summit, then descended the Saddle Trail where we got our gear and then hiked out to Roaring Brook where we camped that night. What a fun climb and great weather day.
