Starting from Koca Kuhinja, hot and sunny till around 1700 meters, then it turned to cloudy and foggy, with serious temperature drop.
Took some shortcuts upwards, met lots of cows on the way.
The hut below the peak was closed (only emergency room was open) and it was very cold there. However on the summit the panorama towards the north was very clear.
Descended towards the east, the saddle between Krn and Batognica, then down back to Planina Kuhinja as the afternoon rain and storm started to chase us.
6 hours altogether with the stops.

Rainy & foggy day
We started from the hut at planina Kuhinja... Most of the day was drizzling, bit windy and at the top quite foggy.
The second half of the day was much nicer with even some views around (all the way to the Adriatic).
In total, quite interesting day.

Efforts for nothing
Started from Planina Kuhinja. Returned at altitude 1920 m, without reaching the summit, due to thunderstorm. 930 m elevation gain for nothing!
I slept at the Bogatin hut, and took a long route over Peski and Batognica.I saw only blazes and nothing else, it was spooky in dense fog. That is why i repeated the trip this summer. The views are fantastic, especially Peski, when you can see the devastation from cannon balls. In complete silence, I swear you can feel the misery of so many people who died unnecessarilly. On my way back, I went by the lake.It is forbidden to swim, but I took my shoes off, it was very hot.It is very uncomfortable, the tiny fish bite without stopping.
In september, I went again with my cousin, this time from Drežnica, Silvo Koren path.Lovely day.We saw a pair of huge birds /not eagle, but similar, darker/.
We ascended in white fog and saw only white fog:-( But we had very good lunch on the chalet Gomisckovo Zavetisce:-)

2 hours from Planina Kuhinja. Fog for the last three hundred metres, but once it cleared, the views were fantastic.

Via Pot Silva Korena
We had cloudy weather, totally obscured by gray fog above 2000 m. The ferrata is great, very exposed, and not continuously assured, so it was kind of an adventure.

After 2 years finally climbed Krn! 3 hours from Planina Kuhinja to Krn top, then climbed also neighbour Batognica (1 hour); went down through rocky canyon between Vrh Nad Peski and Maselnik and descended on Planina Leskovca, then Planina Kuhinja again. 8 hour tour! Perfect weather, great route, great photos also!
