The best thing to know about this trail is that it is great Sierras practice for a full pack. If you can't make it up the last steep section here, you will find popular trails such as the JMT, Mt Whitney and High Sierra Route too difficult as well, but if you can get up this you're off to a good start.
Fun and easy peak, steep and direct trail, just the way I like it.

Kwaay Paay Trail
After working our butts off for weeks on end, I invited my sales lady to join me on this hike while I was in town. I enjoyed the "no switchbacks / right up the side of the hill" intensity and was frankly shocked at how few people we saw during our outing. The views from the top were ok, but a bit too smoggy. Partner: Karen.

Kwaay Paay Trail
Finally made this scamper after work. Nice views and solitude and parts of this trail are surprisingly steep.

Nice Lunch Break Hike
Easy access hike from Old Mission Dam, was up and back over my lunch break. Good views of El Cajon Mountain and the Cuyamacas to the east and Downtown SD to the west. The summit view wasn't the greatest, but overall a nice climb. Photos of my Kwaay Paay Hike

Kwaay Paay Trail
Hiked the trail from Mission Gorge Rd on a drizzly Christmas day with my daughter. Laughably easy, but fun the kids. Trip Report
