How to get up la TourNice shot. How did you exactly get up la Tour? When I was there, the snow couloir connecting the lower (large) snowfield with the upper one, was almost gone, leaving a nasty crack construction. Is there an easy route round the back (from this point of view)?
I was wondering about how to get up la Tour when I passed underneath it, considering to climb it or not. But the weather turned pretty quickly making me decide to go back.

Re: How to get up la TourYes there is a better way round the back. You basically have to take the low snowfield to the end ( from left to right on the photo, that will leave you next to a small plateau(round to your left when you get there) and more snow. From there you have to get close to the hill side and climb up, onto the ridge. There are several small paths cutting accross the rock. it's an easy climb although care is needed when it is wet. You then follow the ridge going left to la tour. I 'm going to post a picture which captures this.
