Larch
The summit has recently been clearcut. If you are coming here on a clear day, expect great views. Unfortunately for me, it was socked in and snowing.

Easy and Pleasant
Short hike with decent views. If it's clear, venturing over to the other summit for a view of the sound is worthwhile.

6 Dumpster Day
Left Edmonds early in the morning and started with Boistfort, Capitol, Larch and Rock Candy, then drove over to Rock Peak 3320' which took 4 hours because of 5 feet of snow, then ended on the true summit of Gold Mountain before taking the ferry back to Edmonds.
I thought it was the Thurston Cohp. At least I got a Co prom point. WA P2k 2/144

Another one bites the dust
Foggy rainy day killed the views from the false summit. Still worthwhile to tag this one though.

Another 2,000 foot-plus prominencer
Great views of a clearcut, radio tower, clouds and mud. Beatiful - in a grungy kind of way.

Larch Thurston
Twas a flat dark summit. I like the microwaves on Capitol better.

Followed Dean to the summit. He is a good bushwhacker.

Twice
The first time with SP member Bob Bolton and the 2nd time on Aug 17, 2008 with SP member Dennis Poulin. Dennis and I were on the way back from doing Mt. Wow and Mt. Stone. We did Rock Peak, another prominence peak a bit earlier. This one is forested and has no views but it has prominence and that is what counts.

No Summit Views
Due to the thick forest surrounding the summit area, there are no views. However, the eastern highpoint of the mountain provides some good viewpoints, and the road-walk is short. This peak is best attempted as a combination hike/exploration day with nearby Capitol Peak.

Once againNot sure on the date but was around 2000. Easy hike, but still worth the trek through the forest towards the summit.
