Lenticular clouds starting to build up over Gasherbrum I. To the left you can see Gasherbrum La/Pass from where the normal route starts. On the long western ridge to the right, footprints from a Japanese expedition which tried to repeat the Yugoslavian ascent is visible. Photo shot from C1 on 5900m.

As always, it's a beautiful, but scary sight.

The lenticular clouds are often fore-runners of bad weather.
