Lincoln Peak, middle gully

Lincoln Peak, middle gully

A view of the central gully left of center (circa 8,000 ft to 8,500 ft) on the southwest side of Lincoln Peak. The angle averages about 50 degrees with short steps to 70 degrees. A successful climb of this gully does not necessarily translate into a successful climb to the summit. There's still major work to do higher up. June 18, 2007. This picture is essentially the opposite direction to this picture.
