Post-Thanksgiving Hike
Nice hike in fairly warm weather the day after Thanksgiving. Hiked with RDB. Few people on the trail and nobody on the summit. The trails around Dog Lake already covered in packed ice and snow. Would be a great snowshoeing or skiing. Will come back in Dec to snowshoe up Reynolds Peak. Not enough time on this hike.

Will come back with skis
I imagine this would be a lot more fun with snow. Saw a thirsty moose, though!

Fun Ascent
I did this with a couple of climbing friends. It was great weather for mid-February. The trail to Dog Lake was well packed. From there we needed showshoes.

Nice and relaxing
This is a nice hike that is especially good on a weekday when there is hardly a soul in the mountains. Good view of the approaching thunderstorms in the distance.

Finally
Skied back in this area in Spring 2012. Again that spring, from Dog Lake we snowshoed up what we thougt was Little Water, only to realized we actually climbed Reynolds. So I returned March 9, 2013 and snowshoed to the summit. Went up from the Deso Lake area, and descended due South to Mill D North Fork. Got robbed of the summit view does to low clouds.

Mill D North
Relaxing afternoon hike on a hot summer day. The aspen grove near the summit is one of the most surreal and beautiful I've ever seen. Flushed out a family of grouse while bushwhacking back to the trail, and got a earful from the mother. Sorry!
Biked up Dog Lake From Big Water TH and climbed up Reynold's Peak, signed the register, hiked down, biked to the other side of Dog Lake, climbed up Little Water Peak with just enough time to make it to work.
2 - 7/1/17 4th peak on mtb Crest to Mill D

great tour
One of my favorite places to ski, love the trees on the north side. Been there a couple of times in the summer. Its nice to head east and meet up with the Great Western Trail for a loop back into Millcreek.

Finally
I've been putting off this hike for years because I thought it would be totally uneventful. I was wrong. It was a great bushwack from Dog Lake thru the most beautiful and surreal aspen forest then stunning views in all directions from the summit. I'll do it again!
