Remote solitude
Beautiful mountain with lots of fun scrambling and exploring to do on the way to the summit. Only a couple miles to get up there but you can spend all day wandering around. Some of the darkest night skies I'd ever seen.

Enjoyable!
Came out here intending to hike up the 300 foot higher Hawks Mountain, but Lone Mountain had so much more visual appeal. Scrambled up through the area I referred to as the palisades, required climbing up and over several walls and pinnacles, lots of slab climbing available here. Once I got back from the summit and set up camp I spent another couple hours climbing and exploring caves.
