Group effort
Thanks to the hospitality of the landowner and several months of negotiation, several of us were able to visit the summit, located in the homeowner's front yard.

Portola Heights Road
The last of three private property peaks bagged before 6am on this day. I blatantly parked right in front of a no parking sign right on Skyline Blvd. where Portola Heights Road begins. I then walked around the gate and jogged up the road towards the summit, but was stopped by the electric fence surrounding the highpoint as others have been. Close enough! Got back to the car at 6:15 with no ticket then back to the campground where the family was staying before anyone had awoken. A successful morning of private property peakbagging with Loma Prieta, Mt. Bielewski, and Long Ridge.

Pre-arranged
Connected with Loro Patterson and met the homeowner. He is very kind and gracious, and welcomes highpointers. I highly recommend that you NOT trespass, it is entirely unnecessary if you act like a mature adult and respect private property.
Hiked here frequently and have gotten as close to the county highpoint as legally allowed (and if I had touched the highpoint, I wouldn't admit it on the internet). :)

Took one year...
Hiked from the highway to just below the top in 2000, but fencing and a dog guarding the HP suggested I not try my luck. In 2001, visiting my sister in SF, I had made arrangements through Loro with the landowner to visit and bag the last 100 feet or so. The weather was rotten - a major winter storm blowing in with lots of rain. This time he gave me the code to drive past the gate to his place. He was nice enough, and after I told him my story he seemed amused. He didn't know whose dog it was at the HP.
