Looking back at the "red talus ridge"

Once you reach the tundra on the west base of Grizzly Peak, look back to picture your return. Gain the first "lip" of talus on this picture, but DESCEND AND CONTOUR TO THE RIGHT to go around the "red talus ridge." Begin re-ascending ONLY once you reach the other side. Stay off the red material. Be careful that there are "pocket areas" that will make the territory seem unfamiliar, but ascend slowly through this area and you will retrace your route to the "north saddle."
