Looking back up the route, the next morning.
We camped in the darker coloured woods in the mid ground. The ascent to the col is quite foreshortened. The walk back out (and in) took a few hours, mostly on reasonable tracks, with the excitement of one river crossing, as the bridge that had been fixed in place had washed away.
