Looking down Pemadumcook Lake from a backwoods crag. My dad liked to fish here. It is 15 miles to the east end of the Lake from here. We knew an old colonel who lived at the far east end of the lake and before World War I he worked as a fire warden/ game warden. He would paddle 12 miles up the lake and as far as possible up Nahmakanta Stream and then carry his canoe to other lakes and ponds behind this photo before returning home.
