"lake effect" stuff rollin' in,
according to the Weather Channel.
You might have to get out and shovel
an inch or two of snow off the porch.
Here where I live, its cold enough
to snow. Love all your great photos!
I can imagine deer running around in
this picture. Not Reindeer, but Mule
deer. They love those Mahoganies!

Re: Dean ?Larry, the snow hit a bit on the light side in the Orem/Provo area. I was able to get in a nice 8 mile hike on Y mountain today. I'm glad the deer love the mahogany bushes, as I'm not a big fan. Thanks for your comments.

Re: Dean ?I still have to go back and get the highest spot of the Cedar range. I've been out there twice and the last time I cut it short because of the BYU Utah game. I did get to see some wild horses near where I took this picture. Beautiful animals.

You are right ...I saw some wild horses out there, too. They
were all running or galloping ... came from nowhere, then disappeared over a ridge.
Where is the highest spot? Is it up by Lookout

Also here is another resource HERE A snow shovel eh? I drove in via 8 mile spring road and then tried hiking up a ridge that dead ended. My next attempt will be a ridgeline to the north. Maybe I'll take my skiis : )

Well, I had the Cedar Mountains CONFUSED with the Sheeprock Mountains. SORRY 'BOUT THAT!!!
Looks like you could go up WILDCAT CANYON.

Re: Dean ?Hey, no problem, there are a lot of mountain ranges in Utah and even one in the desert called the "Confusion range". I have been in the Sheeprocks twice and managed to get to the highest point on my last visit. I went up via Black Pine canyon and it was all cross country. If the weather report improves here, I may try for the Cedar highpoint or the Simpson Mtn range highpoint, Indian Peaks this weekend.
