Looking west-northwest from Potosi Mountain, with the glorious Pahrump Valley in the foreground, the Panamint Range in California is visible in the distance. Barely visible through the haze, just left of center, on the original unshrunk 3072x2048 photograph, is Mount Whitney, 161 miles away in the Sierra Nevada. Photo taken 19 December 2004.
