This is a nice climb to do in spring. It was a beautiful and warm day but very windy on the ridge. The view was great and I could see the Uinta Mountains off in the distance and many of the peaks to the north. There was still lots of snow on Grandview Peak. I had been to this area before. Last year I saw a baby moose that was only 1-2 weeks old. This year I saw two rattlesnakes on the trail.

A great early Spring hike with beautiful wildflowers along the trail. Awsome views of the higher peaks in the Wasatch and seldom seen views to the North.

So-so weather, not a soul in sight (Sundays are good), excellent snow once I got on top of the ridge, all the way to the top. It wasn't readily clear which summit is highest...the East or West...I couldn't really see the other because of low visibility. Started at 7:20AM, and didn't need snowshoes until coming back through Killyon Canyon. I got a few good pictures out of it when the sun came out for a few seconds.

Decided to leave the snowshoes in the vehicle - big mistake. A long exhausting day slogging through deep and mushy snow, but otherwise a beautiful day.
